Hello, I trust this message will find you busy sewing one of those projects that you've been meaning to get to, or maybe face masks which are in high demand.
If you are making masks the shop does carry 300 to 320 count extra wide solid backing from Fabri-Quilt in addition to 200 count muslin. We are offering it at 30% off to folks making masks when they call 989-732-1252 and pay for the shipping (this discount is not available online). The higher thread count makes it harder for a virus to pass through.
We will soon be receiving an order of bias tape for making ties to use on masks. Again, they will be offered at 30% to those making the masks. While getting regular elastic is not going to happen for a while I did order some Pony Bead elastic which should arrive here when the bias tape does.
There is a Facebook Hospital Mask Task Force! for Michigan. Click on this link to be taken there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/344350946518647/. If that doesn't work, copy and paste it into your browser to get there They are trying to network with sewers to get the masks where they are needed.
My husband, Dennis is working remotely from the shop for his employer, since we don't have internet at our house (we don't even have cable for tv; can you believe that!) One or both of us are here from approx. 9am to 1pm daily. If you do find yourself in need of an item you can always call the shop or send an email to email@example.com and I will assist you. We use the USPS to ship orders and generally have them on their way to you within 24 hours, sometimes in minutes.
So, you have 3 options to order items and all orders are greatly appreciated:
1. The web-site is always open and orders will be filled daily. 95% of the shop is online and shipping is free on orders over $50.00.
2. If using a web-site doesn't work for you but you need to see the items you are interested in, send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org stating that you would like me to contact you. The next time I am in the shop, which will be daily, I will call you via DUO or Skype depending on which app you prefer. I can't do Face Time so be sure to have one of those other apps on your cell phone before calling. I will be your virtual personal shopper.
3. Call the shop at 989-732-1252 and you might just catch me, but if you don't I will return your call.
We will do our best to make sure Delphine's Quilt Shop LC stays virus free through the use of sanitizers and thorough hand cleaning. I am only opening boxes with items that I truly need, otherwise they are stacking up in the classroom. If I do open a box it is with great care so that I do not contaminate myself or the shop.
Later this week I will be posting photos from inside the shop on Facebook, so you can have a virtual tour and visit with us.
Stay safe and quilting.
