November 2019

Hello and Welcome to Delphine's brief but information newsletter for November.  The month is almost half gone and I apologize for just now sending you something.

I would like you to know that on this Friday, November 15th, the Downtown Merchants Association of Gaylord is hosting an event called Hunt Downtown.  Businesses are offering discounts, entertainment, food and more to those of you who prefer to hunt for deals instead of deer.  We will be offering all of our Nature Area fabric (1/2 yard minimum), patterns, fat quarters and
kits at 20% all day
!  Just this one day!

Currently all of our Christmas, Winter and Metallic Blender fabrics and kits are 20% off, with a half yard minimum purchase.  Even our Wool Christmas and Winter kits are 20% off.  These discounts will end on the 27th of November.

Since November is the month to Shop we will be offering ridiculous deals on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday!   Those deals will announced later this month.

All are welcome to join us for just one day or come on a regular basis.  You can bring your own lunch, or treat yourself to a lunch from one of the restaurants within walking distance.

Comfort Quilters - Quilt Makers Wanted!
  Second Thursday - November 14

This group meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month. They work on lap quilts of no particular theme that are donated to veterans through the Otsego County Veterans Affairs Office.  We have fabrics and batting to use or you can bring your own.  Volunteers who want to work from home are welcome and can be supplied with kits.

Patriotic Quilters of Gaylord
Third Thursday - November 21
New members are always welcome to this patriotic group of quilters!  This group meets on the 3rd Thursday of each month to work on quilts that are donated to veterans and current servicemen. So far, ninety-plus quilts have been given away!

We continue to have a need for long arm quilters, so  if you haven't offered to quilt a top but would like to,  we can still use quilters.  Please contact the shop at 989-732-1252 if you are able to help.

We can also use folks to sew on binding and do piecework.   You can meet with the groups on their Sewing Days or work from home.
