“Piecing the past and the present into the heirlooms of tomorrow!"

114 N. Otsego Ave.Gaylord, MI49735 - 989-732-1252 -
Store hours:  10 am to 6 pm Monday thru Saturday

Winter hibernation is over and it's time to get down to some serious quilting.  There is a lot of new news, so proceed carefully...

We’ve just finished installing a new point of sale system that is totally integrated with our redesigned website, .  Australian Fabrics, fabric books, most Notions, Books, some Kits and Lots of other Fabrics are now online with pictures and we're adding more every day!  Check it out!

And, we've applied for a FedEx small business grant to develop our shipping processes.  Customer voting is one of the criteria we will be evaluated on and we need your vote!  Clicking on this "vote" button will take you to our store on the FedEx voting site:

On the FedEx site click on their "vote" button, enter your email address and check the box that says you're not a robot.  You can vote every 24 hours.  If we win, we'd invest the grant into a streamlined shipping process so you can shop online at our store less expensively than many of you can drive here.   We need your vote before April 5!

Quilts For Veterans

We have added another charity sewing day at Delphine’s Quilt Shop!!  Besides the regular QOV meeting day on the third Thursday of the month, we will also meet every second Thursday of the month.  In April, that means April 13 and then again on April 20.

The third Thursday (April 20) will remain our Quilt of Valor day.  Those quilts will be patriotic in theme and we will continue to present them to veterans in Otsego county.  By the way, since the weather has been better, we will soon be having quilt presentations at the airport.  Stay tuned for that.

On the new day, the second Thursday of the month (April 13), we will be sewing smaller quilts (approx. 40” x 60” lap quilts) for the veterans who apply for aid at the Otsego County Veterans Affairs office.  We will meet at Delphine’s, 11am until 4pm, to sew and quilt.  What is different?  We will NOT be restricted to patriotic themes.  We can use any quilt-store quality fabric, any colors, any blocks.  That means that you can donate your unwanted fabric, orphan blocks, left-over jelly roll pieces, panels, fat quarters, etc. to be used in these quilts.

Diane Schlak will be heading up this group.  She has been working with women from her church and had presented 45 quilts to this veteran’s office and now only 2 quilts remain.  Time to get sewing and give these vets a big hug of a quilt.

Hopefully you can join Diane on the second Thursday and join Judy on the third Thursday.  Perhaps you have a friend that you would like to invite to help out?  We need your help so please come to sew on one or both days.

Forrest Floor

Wing and a Prayer Designs for Timeless Treasures

Starting Now!  The program lasts 12 months at $18.99 each month

The 2017 Tonga Forest Floor collection is a palette of light to dark autumn hues. The Forest Floor quilt is a twist on tradition featuring twelve, 12" blocks for monthly handout nestled in a log cabin setting. Both novice and skilled quilters will enjoy piecing this luscious Forest Floor quilt. The large stamped batik leaves let the fabric do the work for you enhancing the Forest Floor theme. An easy pieced border frames the quilt interior showing off the beautiful blend of all the colors replacing a standard border.

Fern Hill

by Jan Patek for Moda

This charming quilt measures 76" x 80" when finished.  The program lasts 12 months at $18.99 each month for the fabric (including binding) and the instructions.   A deposit of $18.99 will be used to pay for the 12th installment.

Shipping is $5.00 per month additional for those not able to pick up their packages.

by Ashley Newcomb and instructions by Heidi Pridemore

This finished quilt measures 67" x 76" and is all pieced with no appliqué. The program will last 6 months at the cost of $29.99 per month which includes the fabric for the top and binding and the instructions.  A deposit of $29.99 will be applied to the 6th installment.

Your monthly kit will contain a pattern and fabrics for that month's section of the quilt. The final month will include the last border and binding. This block of the month starts with the inside blocks and works its way out, like a medallion quilt.  If you sew each month as it comes in, then you are set to be completely finished when the last month's fabrics arrive!  I love the idea of being able to see it come together each month!
